and for what we've heard about our living Savior. We pray that as a result, each of us will get to know him better. And we thank you that he's coming again. And as we speak of some of the things that will happen, we pray that they may impress our hearts. And as we look around us in the world and see how near these things could happen, grant that our lives may be changed, that wherever we go, we'll tell others about this Savior ere it be too late. Let's we pray in his worthy name. Amen. Now in a half hour, I want to read a number of chapters to you. And I'm going to do it the easy way. I'm just going to tell you what's in the verses. So you can look at it if you've got a pencil or something, want to mark them. It'll be all right. I want to read, first of all, of Jeremiah chapter thirty. I'm going to talk to you this morning about the tribulation and the indignation. I don't know that I ever heard these two put together that way, but the Lord has impressed them upon me. and the tribulation is Satan's war with the saints, and the indignation is God's war with the nations. Maybe I should say God's war with the nations. Jeremiah chapter thirty and verse seven. For I am, alas, Now I might read verse six. Ask ye now and see whether a man doth travel with child. Wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins as a woman in travel? And all faces are turned into paleness. Alas, for that day is great, so that none is like it. It is even the time of Jacob's trouble. But he shall be saved out of it. Jacob is going to have a time of terrible trouble. Lead with me in Revelation chapter twelve, if you will, please. Let's see who the troubler is going to be. The twelve chapter of the book of Revelation. There appeared a great wonder in heaven, it says here. A woman flowed with a sun. the moon under her feet upon her head a crown of twelve stars. This represents the nation of Israel, the twelve stars. And being with child, pride, traveling in birth, and pain to be delivered, she traveled in pain and gave, brought forth a savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, referring no doubt to her past. That's why the devil hates her. And there appeared a great wonder in heaven, behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his head. He has all the authority and power of those kings to be raised up. He gives them his power. And this woman in the middle of the fourth verse was to be delivered of her child as soon as her born. And we know that Satan wanted to devour that child. He put it in the heart of Herod to kill all the children. And the fifth verse says she brought forth this man's child to rule the nations. Her child was cut up under God. That's where he is now. He's gone up to heaven. The Lord Jesus Christ. Now verse six. The woman fled into wilderness where she had a place prepared of God. They should feed her there a thousand two hundred and three-score days. That's the length of time of this great tribulation. Twelve hundred and sixty days. And there was war in heaven in verse seven. Michael and his angel, the great Michael that stands for the nation of Israel, was his angels fought against this dragon. Satan is the ruler, the prince of power of the air in the heavenly places. But he's going to be cast down from those heavenly places where he now rules the world. And it says the dragon fought in his angels. There's a war coming in heaven, but the good angels are going to prevail. He prevailed not in verse eight. No more place found for him. Verse nine speaks of the great dragon cast out, that old serpent called the devil and Satan, which deceived the whole world. That's what he's doing now. He was cast out of the earth. He's going to be cast right down here, not only walk through and flow. His abode is going to be here on earth among men. His angel is cast out with him, and all those fallen angels are going to be here too. How would you like to be in a world when that happens? It's going to be right at your door. And then it says, Now there comes salvation, verse ten. The kingdom of our God, the power of Christ. The accuser of our brethren is cast down, the accuser before our God day and night. That's what he's doing to us now. Every time the Christian sins, before the world ends, your point of finger, the old devil says, Look at your child down there. Look at him. And thank God we have an advocate who says, Lord, look at those wounds. I died for him. No mark there. But he's the accuser of the brethren. He was in the day and night. He never sleeps. We may, but he never does. And how did they overcome in verse eleven? By the blood of the Lamb. And they loved not to lie unto death. Therefore rejoice ye heavens in verse twelve, and ye that dwell on the earth. Woe, woe to that heavens of the earth. For the devil has come down unto you, having great wrath. Because he knows that he has but a short time. And who is he going to pour this wrath on? The woman with the twelve stars. the nation of Israel, especially the believing part, no doubt the hundred and forty-four thousand, those that believe on them, the saints. When the dragon saw him, he was cast upon the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man-child. The woman had given two wings in the fourteenth verse, and she was Stay in the wilderness. You know, Christ said in Matthew twenty-four, when you see the abomination of desolation, flee to the mountains, and roar to them to be with a child, with child in those days, or those that get stuck. You know why? Because when that abomination is put up in that holy place, if they don't flee, it's going to mean death for everyone that loves the gods. And so Christ is warned, flee to the mountains, and pray that your flight be not in the winter. There won't be cold, and you might die up there. On the Sabbath day, because we're back under the log, you can only go three miles or so on the Sabbath day. And so in the verse thirteen, the dragon saw he cast off from the earth, he persecuted the woman that brought forth a man-child. The woman was given eagerly to the wilderness and nourished there for time and half a time. There's the same period of time, twelve sixty days. How do we know times and a half a time means twelve sixty days? because of the same period as we read down there in that other verse. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water the flood after the woman. No doubt propaganda, persecution. And he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. But the earth helped the woman, some power there. And the earth opened her mouth and swallowed up the flood. And the dragon was wrought with the woman. and went to make war with the remnant of Hirsteys. There's the devil's war. Israel is going to get the land rejoicing and drop the old city. They don't know what they're going to go through yet before their king reigns. The remnant of Hirsteys. Turn to the... Now that's the indignation of the tribulation. I'll turn to the fourteen chapter. I want you to see something about the indignation. It's the same time as this. It's fourteen, verse thirty. I heard a voice from heaven saying, Right, blessed be the dead which die in the Lord's men's laws. Yes, it'll be a blessing when they die then, and their works will follow them. And I looked into all the white cloud, and upon the cloud one set like a son of man. Here's the coming of Christ back to earth as a son of man, having on his head a golden crown in his hands a sharp tickle. What's the son of man going to do with a sharp tickle? Then another angel will tell them at the end of verse fifteen, the harvest of the earth is ripe. The end of the ages come. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle in verse sixteen, and the earth, the earth was reaped. The angel came out of the temple. Whenever you read the temple, it's a connection with Israel too. It's in the heaven. He's also having a shabstical. Another angel came out of the altar, and at the end of that eighteen first she said, Thrust in thy sharp sickle. Gather the crust of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe. Her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel thrust in its sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth and cast it in the great wine press of the wrath of God. And the wine press was trodden down without obsidian's love came out of the wine press even unto the horses bridled by a space of two hundred miles. There's going to be so much slaughter in the land of Palestine that it's going to be blood to the horses bridled for two hundred miles, describing the terribleness of this awful indignation when God pours his wrath upon the nations of this earth because he sets up things and he puts them down and when they don't acknowledge him, they'll suffer the penalties. Turn to Daniel nine, twenty-seven, if you will, please. I think I could do as good by reading some scriptures here this morning and letting you see them as just telling you about them, maybe more, because you want to know where these things are. We read these verses yesterday about the seventy weeks. Now it says in verses twenty-seven, each are confirmed the covenant with many. When you read about the many in Daniel, that means the Jews. And this is why the Lord is going to be angry with the Jews. Because They make a covenant with the devil and the antichrist. He shall confirm the covenant of many for one week, and in the midst of the week, he shall cause the sacrifice and oblation of these. He's going to say, all right, you Jews, you built your temple, and you have your sacrifice. Now go on and do as you please. I'm going to let you have your own way in religion. Religious liberty. But in the middle of the week, he says, no, stop it. We're going to make an image of that beast now. and you're not going to worship the way you want, you're going to worship the way I tell you. The sacrifice and oblation of Jesus, for the overspending of the abomination, he shall make it desolate, even unto the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate, and some say the desolator. Mark thirteen and fourteen in the Arabic translation says, the abomination that causes desolations And it's going to bring forth a desolator, their temple. We've read yesterday in Second Thessalonians two how that he comes after the working of Satan with all power and lying wonders. And in verse ten it says, With all deceivableness of unrighteousness and then to perish, because they believe not the love of the truth that they might be saved, God will send them strong delusions. And the strong delusions is we'll see there's a man going to call down fire from heaven and make an image and make a cross. He's going to have such power to deceive people and who's behind them. God wants them to deceive the people that rejected his son. We read about the mark of the beast leader, but later. But I want you to read now in Revelation thirteen about those two beasts we were talking about yesterday. We find in verse one that the deadly rule was healed. First of all, it says in verse one that the beast shall rise out of the sea. Now the sea speaks of waters and nations of people. You get that in the seventeenth chapter in the fifteenth verse. And this sea would speak of the nations in a troubled state. And that's this man's head of the Roman Empire to be revived will come forth at this time before this covenant in this way, having seven heads and ten horns. and upon its head the name of blasphemy, wicked and cruel. And then it brings in all the various animals that Daniel saw of the fourteenth of Babylon and Meda-Persia and Greece and Rome in the second verse. You'll see those in the seven of Daniel and Daniel's, seven chapters of Daniel, Daniel's vision. And then one of the heads in verse three was wounded at death and deadly wounded heel. And all the world is wondering after this beast. And then in verse four they worship the dragon. What's going to be the final worship? The devil. Worshiping the devil. Which gave power to the beast. Then they worship the beast. Saying, who is like unto the beast? Who can make war with him? And then there's given to him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemy. And power to continue how long? Forty-two months. Starts in the middle of the week. It's only one week of coming, seven years. And the tribulation began. The Jews were persecuted for the first three and a half years. And then this kingdom is set up in greater power. There's an eighth keep set up. We may see that. And you're continuing forty-two months. Now that's another way of saying three and a half years. Because of thirty months to every Jewish month in the calendar. And that's twelve hundred and sixty days. And that speaks about it. So they make, they worship the dragon, they worship the beast. And then in verse six we see him opening his mouth and blaspheming against God. Oh, he hates God. And then the dwell in heaven. And verse seven says he makes war with the saints. And then in verse eight we have all the dwell on the earth worshiping him whose names are not written in the land's book of life. There will be some of the hundred forty-four thousand their converts whose names will be in the book of life, but they're not going to follow. He's going to be in death for them. Then you have the beast coming out of the earth, just the second beast. And I beheld another beast coming out of the earth with two horns like a lamb. The other had ten horns. If you'll turn to Revelation, it's a verse that might help you. I don't want to be too deaf in my interpretation of it, but it says in verse ten there are seven kings, five are fallen, that seven different forms of government in the Roman Empire. And he says that Five of fallen, one is, that was in John's day, the one is, that's the Caesars. And they had kings and consulers and dictators and decimers and tribunals, and then in John's day they had the Caesars, and there's another seventh that's coming, and he's only going to continue a short time, and then there's going to be the eighth, the beast that was and is not even he is the eighth, and is of the seventh, and goeth into perdition. That's his end. The ten horns of the hostiles are ten kings. They receive no kingdom as yet. They receive power as kings. One hour with the beast. And they give their, the ten horns give their power to the beast. I just want you to notice those verses. There's an eighth government going to be raised up maybe in the middle of the week. It may be connected with this second man who takes over in the real way or together in some other way. But in this thirteen chapter eleven verse we have the beast out of the earth. We were saying the other day that may be the Antichrist. If others don't think he is, don't get sued, because we all know better someday. He comes out of the earth in verse one. He has two horns like a lamb. He's imitating Christ, apparently. But when he speaks, he talks like the devil, and that's whose man he is. And then in verse twelve, he exercises all the power of the first beast. He's going to make everybody worship the first beast. And in verse fourteen, they're going to make an image of the first beast. That's the idol. at the abomination that make it deathless. When they set that up, they're going to deny it. That's the sevenfold spirit. Well, look at it. It doesn't come. And the Jews are going to accept it, as Christ said in Matthew twelve. And those who do not worship this beast are going to be killed in verse fifteen. All must receive a mark on their forehead of the right hand. Oh, you know, we've been preparing for that long time. We've had to have open marks on our reunion buttons, you know, and we had the dislodges have their handshakes. They have to know one another to buy and sell. You've got to make yourself known some way. The world's been preparing for all of these things for many, many years now. And no one can buy or sell in the number of six, six, six. Seems I heard somewhere that in Hebrew lettering the number of Jesus, seven, seven, seven. He's the perfect man. But six is the highest number of man. He was created on the sixth day. The giants were six cubits and had six toes and six fingers and so on. So six, in a very special way, is a number of manless greatness. And that'll be the number. I don't know whether you'll get any more out of it than that, but it's definitely linked with man and with the power of man when he comes into power. And I'll tell you, evolution is a thing that's helping people to wait for this man. They think that man has done everything the Bible says God has done. And they think there's nothing possible. If man will get to the moon, they'll get to Mars, he'll get right into heaven after a while. And some man will come and say, well, I'm the man, and they're going to accept him in the whole world. And the devil's going to be behind him in the greatest power will put this man up, and the world will fall at his feet. The world that rejected God's son, the Lord Jesus Christ. going to be affliction such as was not. Christ said that in this tribulation there'll be affliction such as was not since the world began or ever will be. In Mark thirteen, ninety. In verse twenty, he said, except the days be shortened, no flesh will be saved. Oh, it's going to be a time of trouble and a time of terror. In Daniel one, we saw those twelve days, twelve sixty, twelve ninety, and thirteen, thirty-five. Twelve sixty will end the tribulation. Twelve ninety might end the judgments of God, the wrath of God upon the nation. And blessed is he that waited for thirteen thirty-five. It would be a space before he actually sets up his kingdom there. But now turn to Isaiah nine. You're talking about the king of the north. And he's the one that's going to desolate the land of Palestine under God's hands. And after he desolates it, then God's going to punish him because of their arrogance and his pride. Isaiah chapter nine, or chapter ten. I have learned to link Isaiah and Joel together because you read of the northern power, and you also read of them being destroyed between the two seas or in the valley of Jehoshaphat. So for me, they're the same northern power, and I don't think they're Rush either. I don't know if the older theory is going to be raised up or some power from the north. No doubt Rush will be behind them. Rush will be behind them against the Jews. And when the land's at rest, we'll see that God's going to bring Russia down. But notice this. Verse five of Isaiah said, O Assyrian, the lot of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine, whose hand do I have for Isaac, for his reason, is mine indignation. God's going to put the lot of his anger and the staff of his indignation into a hand of some king that's going to come down from the north in the last days. He says, I want you to go down there and defilate that man and destroy those people who look to that terrible image and who worshiped that demon seven times worse than the one that left them back there in the days before the dispersion. He's the rod of God's anger and his indignation, and he's going to send them against a hypocritical nation, the nation that's got the old city and rejoicing about it, against the people of my wrath. will I give them a charge to take the spoil, to take the prey, and to tread them down as a mire of the street." Now this man has got authority from God to do this. In verse twenty. And it shall come to pass in that day. Now that's the day of your second coming, and hear the Lord. It's all been mentioned at that day. And the remnant of Israel And such as are escaped to the house of Jacob shall no more again stay upon him that smote them. He's going to smite the nation of Israel. But shall stay upon the Lord, the Holy One, Israel, truth. They'll learn a lesson, and then they'll accept Christ as king. Afterwards, this all happens. Joel chapter two. Remember that comes after the big prophet Daniel? Ozea, Joel, Joel, chapter two. We're going to read the third verse. A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of fog and of thick darkness. As the morning spread upon the mountains of great people and strong, there hath not been ever the light, and neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many. Generation. Verse nine. They shall run to and fro in the city. They shall run upon the walls. They shall climb up on houses. They shall enter in at the windows like a thief. The earth shall quake before them. The heaven shall tremble. The sun and the moon shall be dark. The sky shall withdraw their shining. The Lord shall utter his voice before his army. That's the Assyrian. He's taken up the Assyrian to do this work. for his camp is very great, and he is strong and executed his words, for the day of the Lord is great and terrible, who can abide it? And that might include all of them, and the day of the Lord will take them all. But it begins, I believe, with this one. And then look at Isaiah twenty-eighth and eight. This is the great deal in the book of Isaiah about the Assyrians in the twenty-eighth chapter. Isaiah twenty-eight. I just want to read one verse there, the eighteen. Your covenant with death shall be just announced. That's the covenant between the Antichrist and the Jews. Your agreement with hell shall not stand when the overflowing scourge, that's this of Syria from the north, shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. There's going to be a terrible slaughter. There may be more about that when we speak about the destruction of the nations. One of our other lessons. But what's the result of all this? Turn to Zechariah three. It speaks at the same time. That's near the end of the Old Testament. I want to turn to these because I think you might want to tell me you might want to mark them. There's a great deal to say about the last days and the last time, even about Israel's conversion. Zechariah, did I say, thirteen? Thirteen is what I meant, pardon me. Zechariah, the thirteen chapter, and we'll read it verse eight. You have a lot of things in there. You have Parshom his wounds in verse six, and you have the cross in verse seven. And then you have in verse eight, it shall come to pass that in all the lands that the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die. And the third part shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire. He's going to bring a third part, a remnant, through the fire to receive Christ. And we'll refine them as well. We'll refine them as gold as tribe. They shall call on my name and I'll hear them. I will say it as my people, and they shall say, With Thomas, the Lord is my God. The Lord, my, my Lord and my God are the Lord is my God there. Yes, that day is coming. Now in the twelve chapters, Daniel, we told you to have the same thing about the King of the North. We mentioned a little bit about that, but I told you we'd go over it. So we'll turn back to Daniel. Daniel chapter twelve. I always say twelve, and I mean eleven. Excuse me. The eleven chapter. And this definitely refers to last time. It says in verse six, The king shall do according to his will. He shall exalt himself and magnate himself above every God, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of God, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished. all that indignation is going to end the beast and the false prophet and all the rest of them. God's indignation against man for his way. And then it speaks of him in verse thirty seven, neither shall he regard the God of his fathers. Some think this one that acts here will be the Antichrist who will be a Jew. And neither shall he regard The God of his fathers, no, the desire of women, the desire of every Jewish woman was to give birth to the Messiah. But he doesn't regard the Messiah. And in his estate shall he honor the God of forces or fortresses. And the God whom his fathers knew not shall he honor with gold and silver with precious stones and pleasant things. Thus shall he do in the most strongholds with a strange God, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory, and he shall cause them to rule over many. There's the many, the Jews again. And shall divide the land for gain. It'll be another division of the land over there to the gain of this man that's coming. But at the time of the end, now verse forty tells you about the time of the end. At the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him. That's Egypt. Egypt's going to come against the land. But you won't get very far. The king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind. He'll overcome Egypt, too. He's coming so fast. With chariots, with horsemen, with many ships, he shall enter into the countries and shall overflow and pass over. Here's the overflowing scourge again of Isaiah twenty-eighth. And he's going to pass over the land of Palestine. Go right through it. And he shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown. But these shall escape even Edom and Moab. You know where Edom and Moab is? That's where those rock cities of Petra you've probably heard about, where they're going to flee, and God's going to protect them and keep them, and they'll come out. Some of the remnant will come from there when Christ sees stand on the Mount of Olives. And they come out and do their protector and their deliverer and their savior. and he shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. This man is going to go right down to Egypt. But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver and over all the precious things of Egypt. And the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be in his steps. They're going to join inward. They can't fight him. They may side with the West, but they'll say, all right, we'll go in with you, rather than the Syrian. But tidings out of the East and they're troubling. Now he's down in Egypt. He's gone through the land. He's devastated. He's done what God has told him. And now the tidings out of the east and north trouble him. What does he hear up there? He no doubt hears of these armies of the beast whose land he's gone through, who are the Texas Atlantic. They're gardening in the ghetto up there. We call it the Battle of Armageddon. But I don't see any battle of nations there. A lot of things we've called battle is going to be just destruction. It's the Lord battling with his enemies and destroying them. And they gather up there in the ghetto, these Western powers of the beast and the false prophet, and they hear that they're going to head this fellow off and go back through that path up there in Galilee. And so they're all gathered. And when they're all gathered, what happens? The Lord comes out of heaven. In Revelation And he's going to smite the nation. And they're going to go out and fight the Lord. He'll explain this some more another day. I want to see how this. The tidings out of the east and north trouble this fellow. He's been down. He's been the troubler now. He's been the rod of God's anger. And he's accomplished his work. Now he hears of trouble up there. And why is God going to send him trouble? Or let him get into trouble when he starts back north. Well, in the... Tenth chapter of Isaiah, we have a few verses. Maybe I'll get time to read them. I do as well. But right now he hears of these things up there in the east. You hear he's down in Egypt over there. Both Palestine, Jerusalem, and Megiddo, all east and north. And you'd think when he hears about this great power coming from heaven through television and news agency and everything we have today, you'd think he'd stop. I remember reading something about this and gave Lanzar hope before he died. And he was bringing out this very thing then. And he said, where would this man get the courage to go back with all the news agencies and television perhaps to see this great power come from heaven and coming to the ghetto. And these armies go out and the sword goes out of his mouth and he smites them. He says, how could this fellow ever dare to go back to meet that power? But hurry, he hurries back. There's no fear. And so it says, tidings out of the east and north. Verse forty-four is troubling. Therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy. For I care about powers of heaven. Oh, he's got the devil and everyone else behind him. He's not afraid of God. And not only to make a way, we'll get rid of the many, we'll get rid of all of them up there. And he shall plant the tabernacles of his towers between the seas. He doesn't get to the ghetto in the north of Galilee. He gets between the two seeds, and that's between Jerusalem and the Mount of Olives. And after Christ has slaughtered those armies, his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives. He will come as the protection of his people, and the Mount of Olives will divide, and those people from Petra or wherever they are, will flee to that mountain for his protection. And this enemy will come back, but we saw that he's going to be broken without hand in Daniel. And we saw in the book of Joel how he'll face one sea and the other behind him. And here it says that he shall come to his ends where? He shall plant his palaces, a tabernacle of his palace, between the seas in the glorious holy mountain. Like that truth. And he'll come back into the valley called the Valley of Jehoshaphat, and he's going to be broken without hand by the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and come to his end suddenly. There's no power to fight against Christ. I'm glad I'm on his side. All power is given to me in resurrection. He's going to prove it even to nations. We'll look back at Isaiah ten, if you will. See why God turned on this Assyrian, I think it's here. Verse twelve says, Wherefore it shall come to pass that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria and the glory of his high looks. And after this man goes down to Egypt and sews the land of Palestine down to Egypt, Conquering and conquering is, my, what a wonderful alignment. Ah, I've got great power. That's what he says. For he's verse thirteen. He says, By the strength of my hand I've done it. By my wisdom, for I am prudent. I have removed the bonds of the people and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down these heavens like a valiant man. And my hand hath found the mess the riches of the people. And as one gathers eggs that are left, I have I gathered all the earth, and there was none that moved the wing or opened the mouth off peace. Am I not a great man? Look at it. God says, Shall the axe boast itself against him that you are with? Who has that axe in his hand, you Assyrian, you king of the north? I used you as my axe in my hands, and you're taking all my glory with your proud looks. God hates pride, made in the rust from it. Or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shakers it? I was shaking that saw that cut those nations apart, the land, as if the rod should shake itself against them, as if it were lifted up, as if the staff should lift up half as if it were no one. Therefore shall the word The Lord, shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, and among his fat one's leanness, and under his glory he shall give me a burning like the burning of a fire. Now, we'll be able to see this. Was that time up, brother? Am I over time? Oh, I'm sorry. I was taking the show ahead of time. My father's going for fasted. But in the next we speak about the destruction of the nation, we'll show that this Assyrian is going to fall in what's called Tophat. Oh, Tophat is where they used to burn the children in the fire.
