Good morning. Time again for moments of melody. In a jail in Burma, Adinaram Judson lay in chains when a fellow prisoner sneeringly said, Dr. Judson, What about the prospects now for the conversion of the heathen? Judson quietly replied, The prospects are just as bright as the promises of God. We read in the Old Testament, Blessed be the Lord that has given, according to all that he promised, there hath not failed one word of all his good promise which he promised. The longer I walk by the side of the Lord, the sweeter the way grows to me. The farther I go in the paths here below, the nearer it seems to be. The farther I walk, the brighter the way, and dimmer he seems to be. The longer I know him, the sweeter he grows. The farther I travel on life's rugged road, The brighter my hope as I go, The nearer I get to that far distant land, The more love for him I need. The farther I walk, the brighter the way, and dearer he seems to be. The longer I know him, the sweet I And now St. Paul's letter to the Ephesians. God has given me the wonderful privilege of telling everyone about this plan of his. And he's given me his power and special ability to do it well. Just think. Though I did nothing to deserve it, and though I am the most useless Christian there is, yet I was the one chosen for this special joy of telling the Gentiles the glad news of the endless treasures available to them in Christ. And to explain to everyone that God is the Savior of the Gentiles too, just as he who made all things had secretly planned from the beginning. And his reason? To show to all the powers of heaven how perfectly wise God is when they see all his family, Jews and Gentiles, joined together in his church. just as he had always planned to do through Jesus Christ our Lord. St. Paul was a man of faith. He walked by faith and God gave him great opportunities. Here he says, I was the one chosen for this special joy of telling the Gentiles the glad news of the endless treasures available to them in Christ. It is glad news. It's good news that those who trust in Christ have endless treasures. We trust Him as Savior. That's just the beginning. There's much more beyond for the believer.
