Morning, friend. How are you this morning? Time again for moments of melody. An aviation cadet on a practice flight was temporarily stricken blind, and in panic he radioed his control officer. The officer radioed back, Follow my instructions implicitly. And after keeping the blinded cadet circling around the whole field was cleared, and the ambulance had arrived, the officer radioed, Now lose your altitude. Bank sharply. You are coming in over the field. The cadet may not have known why he had followed these instructions, but it didn't matter. He gave perfect, exact... an unquestioned obedience. And he brought his plane to a perfect landing. There's a verse in the Bible, Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk. Teach me to do thy will, for thou art my God. This is faith. And if a cadet could trust an officer in such a way, surely we can trust God to help us to know the way we should walk. Precious Lord, take my hand, lead me on, help me stand. I am tired, I am weak. Through the sun, through the night, lead me home to the light. Take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home. When my wake rose trees, precious Lord sling her knees, when my light seems almost O my hand, lest I fall. Take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home. Now here is God's word for your day. St. Paul's letter to the Colossians. You who were spiritually dead because of your sins and your uncircumcision, that is your disobedience to the law of God, God has now made to share in the very life of Christ. He has forgiven you all your sins. Christ has utterly wiped out the damning evidence of broken laws and commandments which always hung over your heads and has completely annulled it by nailing it over his own head on the cross. You can trust the Lord. You can take His hand through life. He will not fail you or forsake you. Remember the verse, God has now made us to share in the very life of Christ. He has forgiven you all your sins.
