children together please in the first epistle of John. John's first epistle, chapter two. On verse eight. First John, chapter two, verse eight. Little children, it is the last hour. And ye have heard that Antichrist shall come, even now are there many Antichrists, whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us because they were not offered. For if there had been offers, they would no doubt have continued with us. But they went out, that there might be made manifest, that there were not all of us. But we have anointment from the Holy One. And ye know, though, ye know all things. I have not written unto you, because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar, but he that denieth that Jesus is a Christ? He is anti-Christ, that denieth a father and a son. Whoso denieth a son, the same hath not a father, but he that acknowledges the son hath a father also. that therefore abide in you which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, he also shall continue in the sun and in the fire. And this is the promise that he has promised us, even eternal light. These things have I written unto you concerning them the seducious, but the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you? And you need not of any man teach you, but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, on his truth, and of no lie, on even as it is part years, ye shall abide in him. And now, little children, abide in him, that when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. If you know that he is righteous, you know that every one that do is righteous man is born of him. Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God. Therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what he shall be, but we know that when he shall appear, We shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. And every man that haunts his folks in him purifies himself, even if he is pure. And God ought his blessing to the reading of this precious portion of his word. We have a reading of the teaching in the New Testament comparing the second advent, the second coming of Christ. And again, right near the feet that we were first written as a teaching of Christ himself in the Gospel. That is the foundation of the doctrine, what he has to say about it. And then we have been looking at the testimony of the Apostles, for we find this great doctrine expanded and elaborated onto the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. First of all, the Apostle Paul, that makes it so clear... and his two epistles to the Thessalonians, the difference between the rapture and the appearing. And then last night we were looking at the testimony of the Apostle Peter. Peter doesn't mention the rapture at all, but he speaks about the glory in the kingdom, when Christ shall be upon the throne, and gives us some lovely details concerning it. Now this evening I want to finish up what we have been looking at, speaking about the testimony of the Apostle John and what he has to say about the coming of Christ. When we take these four testimonies, first of all, the person of Christ, and then the Apostle Paul, the Apostle Peter, and the Apostle John, and put all four together, we get a complete, composite picture of the teaching concerning the second coming of Christ. And this is what we want to look at tonight. what John has to say about it. I should say, for the sake of young believers that are here tonight, that for many years I could not understand the drift of the argument in John's first epistle. When we read some of the great doctrine of epistles of the New Testament, we can follow the logic of the argument from beginning to end. You take an epistle like the epistle to the Romans. And it's absolutely marvelous, and notice how the doctrine is developed in a logical way from beginning to end. On any intelligent person, that was said, John, on these are the epistles. From beginning to end, you can see the development of the doctrine. We find exactly the same things in the epistle to the Ephesians, on the epistles of the Colossians. These are great doctrinal epistles on the doctrine is developed in a very, very intelligent way under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. But it only seemed to me as a young believer that it was entirely different than the first epistle of John. It seemed to me that John would speak about something, take a very small little word, a simple word, and speak about it for a little while, and then drop it. And then it would take another word, like the word light, and he would argue around that for a little while, and then abruptly drop it. And then he would take another word like love, and he would think about that for a little while, argue around it, and then abruptly drop it. And then he would come back to the first word again. Now, as a young believer, I could not understand the development of doctrine in the first epistle of John. But you know, as life goes on, and we continue to read in God's precious words Sometimes it's open, don't do, just like a beautiful star. And I would like to suggest that in John's verse of this, well, we just hear the genuine, the proof of real, genuine Christianity on the test of what a real believer is. Well, it seems that we want to look at just for a moment before we look at what he has to say about the coming. He opened his epistle by a beautiful exposition of the person of Christ. This is what he said. That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon on our hands of sandals of the Word of light. Now here is a lovely, fine-fold statement concerning the person of the Savior. On the first test of Christianity, of genuine Christianity, is what is our attitude to the person of Christ. Now, you notice that in the Gospel by John, he speaks about a deity. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. What a tremendous statement that is concerning the person of Christ. In the Gospel, it is a deity. But in the Principate with John, it is his humanity that is emphasized. And he uses a different preposition here. In the Gospel, in the beginning was the word. But here he uses a different preposition, that which was from the beginning. You know, the beginning of the Gospel according to John takes us right away back into eternity past. Not as the deity of Christ, but here in his epistle he speaks of that which was from the beginning. Not is from the incarnation. and he's taken here off as humanity, and he uses five terms concerning it. That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, he was audible, which we have seen with our eyes, he was visible, which we have looked upon or contemplated, he was intelligible, which are hands of hand. He was tangible. These are five terms concerning the glorious, holy, sinless humanity of our Lord. And the fellowship among believers is based on our attitude to Christ. In the Gospel, this deity, but in this lovely statement, a beautiful, beautiful outline of this holy, sinless humanity. The first test of genuine Christianity is what is our attitude to the person of Christ. That is most important. Everything begins here. If we're wrong here, everything else is in the utter confusion. But if we're right here, that behold, in the one hand, the deity of Christ, and that holy, sinless humanity, unhold them in balance. That soon, completely joined together, never to be separated, the deity and the humanity of Christ, everything else falls into its place. So what is our attitude to Christ? Oh, thank God, we can say, every true believer can say he's the altogether lovely one, the chief of Samoan Tentology. That is the foundation. Now, his second test of Christianity is, what is her attitude of sin? And this is most important. The first is light. But the second is light. We read here about the light shining, and we read here about fellowship in the light. And he uses three terms here concerning professions that people make concerning sin. If we say we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not the truth. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. John has a lot to say about sins in the light. On these three professions that he uses here in connection with sins, they're most important. If we say we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness, we lie. Anyone that professes to be a Christian under something dark and covered up in their light, some double dealing, some hidden sin, some wicked evil habit, in their life that no perfectly will is contrary to the light walking in darkness. There's something fearlessly wrong. I would like to ask myself the question here tonight, is there anything in my life that is covered up? You know, sin is something that robs people of blessing, and I believe that very often blessing is not granted where sin is tolerated and where it's carried on. The second perfection is, if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves. We don't need anybody else. And I think that any realistic Christian, day after day looking into their own heart, they realize that the old man is there, that the flesh is there, and the body of sin, of the instrument of all righteousness, it is there as well. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves on the truth that's not in it. And then thirdly, if we say we have not sinned, that is, we have never sinned at all. And there are some people today who think because they never have been drunk or never have committed adultery or something of that kind that there's no sin in their life. People who say these things, they do not realize the holiness of God and also the great truth. that Christ has removed our sins by the sacrifice of his precious blood. If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with the other on the blood of Jesus Christ, his son, many of us come all dead. First of all, what is my attitude to Christ? Second day, what is my attitude to sin? On anyone who professes to be a believer, and going on with sin in their life that they know sin and continually practicing it to something seriously wrong. It's a mark of genuine Christianity, our attitude is sin. Now the third is, what is my attitude of my brother? And there's a little paragraph there concerning love and hatred. If you see any man or woman with hatred in her heart and a steely look in their eyes, On saying wrong times and wicked things about the people of God, there's something seriously wrong. When I became a Christian, the love of God was shed abroad in my heart. On people that are characterized by hatred of their brothers, there's something seriously wrong. John speaks about it again and again and again, and he comes back to this. What is my attitude of my brother? Now, I know that sometimes things come in. and sometimes sin has been committed and we try to go to that person and try to make it right and he will never, never confess his sin and sometimes it's a rupture and sometimes fellowship is interrupted. I know that that is perfectly true but at the same time those that know Christ is Savior brought into the family every true believer heart goes out in love on a fashion to him. What is my attitude of my brother? The first man who had a brother, John mentioned to him, was king. And you remember, he slew his brother. And John, again and again, he confronted this question of hatred and love. So the fourth test of Christianity is, what is my attitude of the world? And again on the second chapter, there's a little paragraph. of the three different degrees in the family of God. The Father, and the young man, and the little children. On speaking about the young man, he said, love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loved the world, the love of the Father is not in him. What is my attitude to the world? You know, I think that this is something that's drifting in among the people of God everywhere. The world... just like a dark flood coming in and robbing people of the testimony, head of our ears, in the world, on everything connected with it. But the Christian, he has been taken out of the world. He's in it. He's not of it. On his consent, he's not into it. On the representative of the heavenly court. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world, if any man loved the world. the love of the Father is not in him. I was in a meeting some time ago in another part of the country, and I was told to close the meeting short at nine o'clock. He said, Brother, I try not to go over the time, but I can possibly help us with why. Do you want me to stop at nine o'clock? He said, tonight is the night of the big fight, and it's all, he said, we all want to go home and see it. You know, these things are certainly amusing, but these things are drifting in. And I do believe today that a real, genuine Christian is a person who separates us from the world. If he's in the world and mixed up in it, he's in the wrong place. He's there as a pilgrim and a stranger on a representative of the heavenly court to witness for Christ. Here is John's fourth test of Christianity. If any man loved the world, The love of the Father is not intense. So the first one is the woman I want to speak about tonight. What is my attitude to the coming? And again, John has some lovely, lovely things to say about it. And the fifth that I want to concentrate on for a few minutes just now. John, in speaking about the coming, he said, Little children, it is the last hour. Little children, it is the last hour, five minutes before midnight. And he speaks about the anti-Christ, plural, and then he speaks about the anti-Christ. And then he goes into some description here of the last hour. Now, time wouldn't suffice to go into the different things that he did, the characterizes that last period just before Christ comes back again. He speaks about the polarization. among God's people. They went out promise because they were not offered. What does that mean? There were those that were denying the very fundamental doctrine of the Father and the Son. And they apparently had been teaching things among the people of God that were contrary to the doctrine of Christ. And they went out promise, they were not offered. There was a polarization. And I think we find that today. You know, again, here we come back to the person of Christ and the doctrine of Christ. And John says, this is something that parents arise at the last hour. But then he tells us that we have an anointing. We have anointing from the Holy One. And he says, we need not that any man teach us. What does that mean? Do you think it's been no longer learned? I don't think that is the point at all. But the point is this. that when we hear something that we have never heard before, every believer of the min-born function, the Holy Spirit has traced it there, that he's able to tell right from wrong, that a while ago there were a couple of young men who formerly had been hippies, and they were truly born again, heard the gospel, and they were truly born again. But there were some Jehovah Witnesses came along and tried to... introduced her doctrine. On these points they came to a dear servant of God that I know and mentioned it to him, what they were teaching. They said, we're not able to argue with them. But they said, we know in the very depths of our being that it's wrong. That means that there's something placed in the person's heart, the Holy Spirit of God, the anointing, that they're able to tell what's right and what's wrong, even though though they may not be able to argue the doctrine. So John, he speaks about this here on something that I provide as the last hour, five minutes before midnight before the Lord comes. And then again he uses the term, my little children. Oh, I love that. Did you ever notice the thirty-five different words that John uses in the first epistle that's taken from the upper room minister of Christ? This is the term that our Lord used. in the upper room. Was that little company gathered or honest? My little children, abide in him. John chapter fifteen. There are thirty-five different words and references to John thirteen through seventeen in his first epistle. My little children, abide in him, that when he shall be manifested, he may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him in his presence. The word in our version is coming. And by the way, it's the only time in all of John's writings where he uses this particular word, it's the word for the record. I don't see yet. It's the only time that John uses the word on the sinless passage in his presence. My little children abide in him, but when he shall be manifested, he may have confidence or not be ashamed before him in his presence. present. The word I want to use here to emphasize is that word manifestation. And I want to speak about it for a little while. Manifestation. Immediately after that he is speaking again about the coming, he says, we know not what he shall be, but we know that when he shall appear, we shall delight him, for we shall see him at the end. And the word I want to use here is transformation. First of all, the manifestation. Secondly, transformation. When he shall be manifested, we shall be like him, that is like Christ, for we shall see him as he is. And then the third word, together in the next verse, he that has this book, set upon him, that is upon Christ, purifies himself, even as he, that is, even as He is sure. The word here is purification. So there are these three words I want to emphasize just for a few minutes tonight. John's teaching here concerning the rapture. It has to do with these three things. First of all, the manifestation that will take place in the presence of Christ, that is the Bima, the judgment seat. And then secondly, the transformation that will take place when it comes back again. We shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is, and then the practical effect of it in our hearts and lives. He that has this hope set upon him purifies himself even as he is pure. That is the scientific effect of the hope of the coming again to the Lord David. My little children abide in him. that when he shall be manifested, he may have confidence, or not be ashamed before him in his presence. I believe that these words indicate the Bema. Now, this is something that's confused in many people's minds today. What will take place immediately subsequent to the coming again of Christ? That is the rapture. The Bema, we will be in distress. I don't think I need to go into the different judgments in the New Testament. There's the judgment of the living nations. Matthew chapter twenty-five. There's the judgment of the great white throne. Revelation chapter twenty. But then there's the judgment seat of Christ. And the only one that will appear at that judgment seat of Christ is the believer. It is a manifestation of the life of the believer of the judgment seat. There are three grist passage passages that deal with it. And if we were to turn over them, we would get the complete picture of what will happen immediately subsequent to the coming of the Lord. There's something very solemn about it. And I think that every believer, I believe, should sit down and carefully consider what will happen at that time. Second Corinthians chapter five, the Apostle Paul speaking about it, he says this. we must all be manifested at the judgment seat of Christ, that we may receive the things done by means of the body, whether they be good or whether they be bad. Now what do these words mean? We must all be manifested at the judgment seat of Christ. You know, I think that once we get here is our Lord on the Bima. The word is not the strong. The word strong is used In Revelation twenty, connected with the Great Point throne, there he says, but here he's the arbitrator. He's the assessor, evaluator. And as he sits upon the Bema, just as the umpire did of the Olympic Games, our Lord is sitting upon the Bema, and he evaluates on assessing the length of each individual believer. We shall be manifested, Paul says, of the judgment be that Christ, that we will receive the things done by means of the body, whether they be good or whether they be bad. Now these are very plain words. I used to think that the judgment be the kind of a Sunday school of Christ giving. But you know, I think that that is not the right idea at all. There's something very solemn about it. That my whole life as a believer is going to be evaluated. From the moment I trip the train until the moment I'm taken home, and the one who sits upon the beam that is Christ himself, Christ Adrian. And he's going to review my life. Things done in private, things done in public. You know, when you think of it, there's something very, very serious about it. And Paul, he said that every believer will be manifested for the things done by means of the body, whether they be good or whether they be bad. You know, if I only realized that as a very, very careful how I behave, I wouldn't get my eyes on men, or consider too much what they have to say, but I'd get my eye upon the judgment of each knowing that one day my whole life is going to be revealed by Christ himself. Someone might say, is it in camera, in private, or is it in public? I don't want to pass any judgment upon that at all, but I do know that the one who's going to review my life is Christ himself. The thing done by means of the Bible, my whole life as a Christian, will be reviewed by him. Now, a second passage is in First Corinthians chapter three. and read these words, Paul says in speaking about the church at Corinth, and there is a different context entirely. In Second Corinthians five, it is a private life and the public life of the believer. In First Corinthians three, it is her church life. Paul said, I live the foundation. I came to Corinth. I live the foundation unless any man takes care or he's built a fair upon. If any man build on that foundation, gold, silver, precious stone, wood, hay, shovel, it will be revealed in fire, for the day shall declare. So I notice the materials that he's speaking about, and notice he's speaking about a building. He uses the term temple, and he's speaking here about a local church, on the building of that local church, on the material that's going into it. There are some materials that are genuine, but can be built on that foundation that has them laid. Gold, silver, precious stone. What is the gold? I think that every time we get the term gold and holy scripture, it refers to doctrine. The doctrine of Christ. These are the fundamental truths that we have been trying to emphasize during this week. The truths concerning the person of Christ, the pure gold. And thank God every time we hear a brother getting up and opening Holy Scriptures and speaking about our Lord on these great fundamental doctrines that are the pure gold. Oh, we do need it so much today. Not so much something superficial and trivial, but all the great doctrines of Holy Scriptures hardly need them. I can remember hearing men like T.S. Paul and Harlingon. men of that time getting up and speaking about these things, and then there's such an indelible impression upon my mind, some of the addresses that were given at that time I could repeat my heart. I heard Mr. Senge and speak on the epistle to the Colossians, but the chief of the conference, and then did an outline of the Gospel according to Mark, and those addresses were so impressed upon my mind, I think some of them might have received my heart. I didn't make any note of them at the time, but I believe that gold is the doctrine, especially concerning the person of our Lord. And then the silver. Silver, of course, I'll repeat for the dancing. The precious blood. And every time we hear anyone opening up the scriptures concerning the cross, and the great doctrine of the cross and holy scriptures... opened up for us typically in the Old Testament and not similarly in the New Testament. It rejoices our hearts. We do thank God for the silver. The redemptive work of Christ is the toning work of our childish past. That is the silver. And then the precious stone. I used to think that the precious stones were diamonds and sapphires and rubies and precious stones of that type. But notice he's talking here about building a temple. About putting up a building. I think that what he's referring to is living stones that are put upon the building. And you know, we need to be careful, especially those that have a family responsibility or elders and leaders among us to see that on the building up of any New Testament church that it is living stones, not bricks or something superficial that has absolutely no solidity about it at all. We need to be careful about that. And it's the elders that have that responsibility to see that those that are placed upon the foundation and the building up of a local church that is real genuine material, the gold, the diamond, the silver, the gospel, and precious stone being put upon the foundation. And then they get the material that is not genuine, the wood, on the hay, on the shovel. Now we know what hay is. And you know what wood is? We get plenty of wood there. But sometimes we don't understand what stubble is. Stubble is all that's left after the harvest has been reached. Something that goes up in fire when the fire passes over. You know, I wonder if times were to come tonight, just how much gold and silver and precious stones there would be in our local assembly? on how much wood on hay and stubble that would grow up and smoke and price them drank again. We're told here that the day shall declare it. You know, we have tried to do a little bit of pioneer work over in the middle of Africa, and we have seen quite a number of assembly farms, taking the overall picture, the work of our dear brethren on sisters in Angola. We have about four hundred New Testament assemblies in Angola today with approximately forty stars and baptized believers in the Sunday fellowship. The fire has already passed over it. Persecution has hit that area. And I do thank God, in spite of all that has happened, all the husband goes that have fallen by the way. But I am thankful that the precious gold and silver and precious stone are left. Wherever there's light, and whether there's a sense of genuine, it will remain, even though the fire may pass over it, done here. But the ultimate, the ultimate task is the judgment stage, and I think that that is the important thing. And my beloved brethren, the only thing that's worthwhile going in far is read genuine words. The penance towards God, on penance towards our Lord Jesus Christ in our gospel preaching. That's something superficial. on what we long to see as people shaken up by the Holy Spirit of God in our Gospel meeting on these solid materials built up in our local assemblies of the present time. So here is the second brief text of the Judgment Feet of Christ. That is our assembly affiliation on the assembly building, church building of the present time. The third passage is in Romans chapter fourteen. Why does not judge thy brethren? Why does that set us not, thy brother, when we must all appear before the judgment of Jesus Christ? Here is our social relationships, one with the other. And oh, how much we have to regret about that? Sometimes someone with a strong mind and very decided opinion, and someone else with exactly the same thing, and two strong-headed individuals colliding one with the other. There's another pleasant thing to speak about. But you know, it's something that we see everywhere today, and sometimes something that is no important to God, something superficial and small, it has resulted with its division among God's people. Not on the kind of doctrine, but possibly too strong-headed individual that will not give in. You know, if that kind of thing is not right and file down here, it will be reconciled with the judgment days. We cannot go into the kingdom and be happy in the presence of God for we find that kind of thing. I would like to ask myself the question tonight. Is it a brother anywhere in this poor old world that I couldn't walk through and sit down beside him and take him by the hand and say, God bless you, brother. I do thank God for many, many dear friends. But if there's anyone that I would regard as an enemy, or anyone that I couldn't go and sit down beside him and say, God bless you, brother, you belong to Christ, and so do I. And I want to have love and fellowship between it. Point of sight, judge thy brother. Point of sight, said it not, thy brother. We must all stand before the judgment seat. And don't think that the judgment seat is Christ on the beamless and two men arguing the point before him. It will be silent there. And the one who will regulate it will be the one who will sit upon the beamless. These are the three great passages in the New Testament concerning what John is speaking about here. My little children, abide in him. But when he shall be manifested, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before him in his presence. Is it possible that there would be shame there under grace? Well, John says it. It is. It is possible. But far, far better gone here. that these things be regulated on keeping short accounts with Christ and also with her beloved brother. And I think we do, some of these very, very difficult and sinful circumstances and situations found here they wouldn't occur. Now this is the first word, manifestation. But oh, there's two other lovely words. And the next one is, beloved, nor are we the children of God. And we know not what he shall be, but we know that when he shall be manifest, says, We shall be like him, or we shall see him as he is. You know, to think about the judgment seat of Christ, I don't want to give anybody the idea that it's a kind of a court-martial. Maybe some of the strong things that I have been saying, people will get that idea. It's not a court-martial. But on the other hand, it's not the sum of truth I've given. And I think that it should regulate our lives down here. And I believe that we only realize that the whole thing that's going to be manifested in that day, we'll be awfully careful about our behavior and our conduct and our conversation down here. But the next one is, we know not what he shall be, but we know that when he shall be manifested, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Transformation. into the image of Christ. Did you ever notice when God made man? He said, let us make man. The plural word, let us make man. And two words were used, the image on the likeness. Now, these are two words a little bit difficult to define. And I'm not going to have to find time. I'm defining them here tonight. But there's one thing I know that both the image on the likeness have been sadly battered. Not anything like that. But you know, it's God's passage in the coming days that we're going to be restored. Do you remember the two passages that deal with it? One in Romans chapter eight, where we read, we are three days trying to be conformed to the image of his son. That is the image of God. And that is something tonight, is a three-day destination. In the future, we are three days trying to be conformed. through the image of the sun. The image is going to be restored under this lovely passage of John Smith's thought about, it is the life now. We know not what we shall be, but we know that when we shall be manifested, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. You know, sometimes God looks at an old couple with a blitz together for fifty years. And after a little while, out of living together all that time, actually they begin to look like one another. They have lived with one another for the whole lifetime. They have since together to know each other infinitely, and after fifty or sixty years, they actually begin to look like each other. But you know, I believe that the years that they traveled on here, and through infinitely with a passionate heart, and contemplation of his word and meditation about him, he begins to look like it. And thus, it's a non-trianguage transformation that takes place around here. If you've seen somebody going around with a sad, sad, excitement, and maybe a hard expression on her face, something wrong. Sometimes I stand and I swear in New York and not the people go by. And I try to... an opinion in my mind, what kind of people they are by the loop in their face. You see somebody passed by and you look at them and you say, there's a pleasure lover. There's a whirling written all over them. You can see it in their face. You can see it in the loop in their eyes. That's a whirling. You see another man passed by and you say, there's a money driver. There's a man that sits and watches a picker kid down on a wall straight trying to make a million as fast as he possibly can. and you could see the pincer in his eyes too, he's a money grabber. He's a man that would do anything to make a million either honorably or dishonestly. But then you see somebody else pass by and you say, there's a professional criminal. Mind you, you don't need to be very intelligent. Look at his hand. Those brutal hands. The man that carries a drum in his pocket of a knife, I'm going to take your life for five cents. And you see it flitting all over us. And then you see somebody else pass behind. Only the gracious Luke in our faith. And you say, if that person is not a Christian, I have never seen that. I believe that the truth be a transformation of ideas. And if I am living in communion with Christ, on the law of myself that is saturated with this word, it has an unconscious effect upon it. On the transphant is down here. But you know, it's going to have a consummation. And that is when we get out there, we shall be like him, for we shall see another day. That transformation takes place, when we see him face to face.
