The joy being blissful again. Hello. And of course I'm going to the best of Dick, you know what it says about Mary, don't you? It's overright. It's rotten. It's half-tipped. So there it is. Matthew chapter twenty-two. Matthew and the twenty-second chapter. It's just a real joy. Mrs. Boswell and I being back with you here at Park of the Pans. We always respond with the coming. The joy being blissful again. Meeting again. Some of you, dear folks, we've met for many years now and know for quite a long, long time. Some of you are meeting for the very first time. We're glad to meet you too before we get home to heaven, eh? No, that may take place today. Then when we go home to heaven today, wouldn't that be wonderful, amen? Oh, the joy, we're looking for the Lord to come back at any moment. No, I don't know about you. I am. Now it's time we're living on the tips of expectancy. So, Matthew twenty-two, verse number forty-one. While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, Saying, What think ye of Christ? Whose son is he? Let's say unto him the son of David. He says unto them, How then does David in spirit call him Lord, saying, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit now on thy right hand, and shall I make thine enemy thy fruit too? If David then called him Lord, how is he his son? And no man was able to answer him a word. Neil does any man from that being thought ask it any more question? The question is found in verse twenty-four-two. What, thinking of Christ? Now go back to Matthew sixteen. Sixteen chapter of Matthew, and read in it verse thirteen. Matthew sixteen, verse thirteen. When Jesus came at the coast of the Surrey of Philippi, He answered the disciples, saying, For whom the man shall I the fellow man am? And they said, Some say thou John the Baptist, some Elias, and others Jeremiah are one of the prophets. He says unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Simon Peter answered, Say, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And his answering said unto him, Blessed are thou Simon Berjona. For flesh and blood is not revealed unto thee, but my Father, which is in heaven. And the words are found in verse number fifteen, whom say thee, that I am. One last scripture. Again, Matthew chapter twenty-seven. Matthew and the twenty-seven chapter. that real music, I do like to hear the rustling among the leaves, that you're telling those changes, I think. That's just wonderful. Matthew twenty seven, verse number nineteen. When Pilate was set down on the judgment seat, his wife said unto him, Saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man? For I suffer many things as in a dream because of him. For the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should answer Barabbas and the strong Jesus. The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain we shall release unto you, they said, A Barabbas. But it says unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified. And the governor said, Why, for evil is he done? For they cried out the more saying, Let him be crucified. The Lord had his blessing in that short reading from his word, the heart of this morning. You notice in our reading we looked at the three realms of our personality. First of all, what means your Christ has to do with our mind? What say your Christ has to do with our speech? What shall I now do with Jesus which is called Christ has to do with action, our mind, our speech, our action. Four things here of Christ. The psychologist and others today say that the greatest thing in life is personality. See that what it means? The supreme personality of all his strength is Jesus Christ. So none so attractive nor unique. as a man Christ Jesus. What seems to be of Christ is a question that confronts each and every one of us. For the Lord Jesus is not only magnetic in his personality, he is unavoidable and in his capable in his demand. Christ will supervise him. If you look backward, he is there. In the beginning God created the heaven and earth. If you look Father, He is there. From everlasting to everlasting, He is God. You look upward, He is there. On the right hand of the Majesty on the High. If you look around you, you'll find them right here. In the affairs of man, in the corporate life of his church. For he said, Well, two of us here gather together. In my name, there am I in the midst of them. Fourteenth Year of Christ. William Gladstone, the Prime Minister of United Kingdom, some three times, speaking to a crowded house. The Lords and the Commons were packed to capacity, and these were the days before women got into politics. Sir Winston Church will never go over the tragedy of women getting into politics. He's a bad enemy. Lady Astor. The first lady ever in politics. And those two were sitting up at the other one day at a conference table. Lady Astor at the cross, Churchill said, If you were my husband, I would poison your tea. The old boo-boo dog was at the cross and said, Sir, if I were your husband, I would drink it. Anyway, William Gladstone, addressing that great crowd of wonderful statesmen and politicians, said, Gentlemen, the question confronts us today both as a people and as a nation is this. What thinking of Christ? He said our whole destiny depends on our answer to that one question. Now notice, beloved. I said a moment ago, this question concerns each and every one of us here this morning. And our destiny depends upon our answers to that one question. So that is what you think of this preacher or that teacher, this religion or that religion, this political party or that political party. It's what thinking of Christ. This intelligent thinking congregation this morning... I want us to face to face with all the important questions, and I pray God, that has been healing fairly and squarely. We'll answer this question this morning, and be able to see with many of us here. He's my Lord. He's myself. He's my all, and in all. He's a very light of my life. What thinking of Christ? What do you think of his virgin birth? to the minute a day you are denying as a virgin birth of our adorable Lord Jesus. My friend, there are those who teach, it doesn't matter whether you believe in the virgin birth or not, alone you believe in the cross work of the Lord Jesus. Now my friend, you see what's going to lead you to? A Savior is not quite God, but all of the Virgin is not a Savior at all. We must believe in the virgin birth of God's beloved son. God's word very clearly about this. He said, unto you a son is given, proving his divinity, unto you a child is born, proving his a humanity. The only time you ever read of the seed of the woman in the Bible is in relation to the birth of the Lord Jesus. Other times is the seed of the man, the seed of the man. When it comes to the birth of Christ, it's the seed of the woman. You take your Bible through your laser and go down through Matthew chapter one. There is expression. souls to begat, souls to begat, souls to begat. When you come down to Jacob it says, And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary. It does not say, And Joseph begat Jesus. Oh no. Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary of who was born Christ. We bow before him, we worship, and we adore. It was that great theologian, a day gone by, the late John Wesley, who said, as he meditated upon the virgin birth, the great Creator contracted to a fan, indescribally, made man. And Paul could say, great is the mystery of godliness, God manifest in flesh. Our hearts sing off. Thou art the everlasting world, the Father's early son. God manifests it in her and heaven's beloved one. Worry the old lamb of God of God. Every knee to knee I should bow. We bow before him. Furthermore, as you think of Matthew chapter one again, you read it from Abram to David at fourteen generations. From David to Babylon fourteen generations. From Babylon to Christ fourteen generations. In the first two you'll find forty. In the last one you'll only find thirty names. And yet the Bible says there are forty. Is there a contradiction? Is there discrepancy? A thousand times no. The forty-one is the Holy Spirit. We bow again. We worship and we adore. As we hear in John one once, in the beginning was the word, his eternity. And the Word was with God his personality. And the Word was God, his deity. They're quoting, and the Word became flesh. And tabernacle among us. And we beheld his glory. Oh, I pray we're going to do that this morning. And we continue to see what think he of Christ. What do you think of his virgin birth? Yes, we love you to hear this wonderful word, for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son. In Agent Paul, verse number four, when the fullness of time was come, God sent all his sons, born of a woman. Not only do I think of his virgin birth, may I ask you again the question, forget all about your neighbor. What do you personally think of the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus? Do you believe it? Amen. That's a pretty weak amen, but I know you always be, aren't you? That's right. Right, the next part, then, what do you think of his virtuous life? Not only his virgin birth, but his virtuous life, his vicarious dance and so on, his wonderful character. First of all, then, his father's saying... This is my beloved son, in whom I am well seen. His friend said, He did no sin, he knew no sin, there was no sin found in him. The Lamb referred to in Exodus chapter twelve, had to be without blemish. The figure upon the tenth day, set aside the fourteen days, truly nice, very carefully, watched, and one little blemish, one little simple appeared, the Lamb was to the side, his blood could not be applied to the two-sided earth, nor the upper lintel of the doorway, but the Lamb had to be without blemish. Well, John the Baptist says, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world, referring to God's Lamb, the darling of his own heart, the Lord Jesus. Well, what about his head? Well, let Paul answered that, the intellectual genius. He said he knew no sin. No impure thought ever passed through the holy mind of the Son of God. Well, what about his leg? Practical Peter answers that by saying, And he did no sin. Well, what about his inward? John the beloved, believing upon his bread, said, And in him no sin. His head? His reign, his inward, and absolutely all-pure. The holy sinless Son of God. Same for the body's soul. I'll say a few times over, I find no fault in this man. Here the king said, I find nothing worthy of death in this man. Judah, the man who betrayed him. He said, I have sinned in that I betrayed him. Notice the definite article here. The innocent blood. Not just innocent blood, but the innocent blood. The only blood that is innocent. The only blood that is timorous. The only blood that is all-pure. What about the very things from hell? When they came, they cried. We know who thou art. Thou holy one of God. So, father, friend and toad, heavens are earth and hell, angels, men and demons, the all-pointed, adorable Lord Jesus, I may declare a sinless, a perfect man. Now listen, what do you think of his character? What do you think of his virtuous life? There are those who teach today as part of Christ of sin, but is it not sin? I hardly disagree with that. There is never anything in my adorable Lord. Jesus' response to sin is a holy, sinless, son of God. Had he been able to sin here on earth, He's still a man in the glory this morning. Had he been able to sin, it could never have been your Savior, not my Savior. You take a pile of steel filings, and you bring the magnet down over those steel filings, and you jump toward the magnet. But I put my gold watch down. And I bring that magnet down ever so low, right down to the wall that watch. It never moves toward the magnet. Why? Because it's gold. Nothing in it whatever to respond to the magnetism. Nothing whatever. And my adorable Lord Jesus, is it all pure gold. The whole is too much sinless, full of God, and nothing in or whatever to respond to an attraction of sin. Do you believe that? Amen? Oh, my friend, I want to get that today. God demanded a blood sacrifice. But it must be a sinless blood sacrifice. And it's only one who has that type of blood with the doubting of his own heart. The Lord Jesus Christ. Say, what do you think of his power over... The creation. Remember that particular day, this holy, sinless son of God? Because they're in that boat. Remember how the waters were mounted at heart. The disciples thought the life was in jeopardy. And they're going down into watery graves. Said the Lord Jesus, hear us, and not when we perish. He went beside the building and said, Peace, be still. He really said, Be muzzled. The muskling of a ferocious dog. But what manner of men is this? That even the winds and the seas obey him. Love it. Is there some heart here this morning's storm tossed? And there's a terrible storm raging in that little breath of yours. There is discord. There is unrest. The lack of harmony. The one who could say, peace be still to that great soul, is beside you, in your narrow pew. He wants to say peace to you this morning. And my friend, if you only allow him to come into your heart, out of this cause there shall come harmony, out of unrest there shall come rest, out of distress there shall come tranquility, My friend, we're all to bring this into your heart. May I just be faithful, one layman. His father of friends and foes, heaven and earth and hell, came with men and women, saw nothing but perfection in the Lord Jesus. What fault did you find with Christ you never yet trusted in him? Be honest. As a wise-thinking man, a wise-thinking woman, what fault, what blemish have you found in Christ? And you're not yet trusted for salvation. What thinking of Christ? Remember, you could say, Peter, Peter, the cop will not crow until you deny me Christ. The third time Peter denied the law of the caught crew, he spout over the cow. Peter goes down to the lake, throwing the hook, and bring out the fish. Your father calling the fish's mouth. He spout over the fish. If Peter goes down, he brought out the fish, what did he find? They're calling the fish's mouth. He said, he prepared the fish for Jonah. He spout over the fish. his power over the dumb animal. He goes riding into Jerusalem upon the back of that donkey, bare back. He'd never been broken. He'd never had the yoke. We've had eggs and downs in England. There an evangelist service he shared called the Jockey. This particular day the evangelist giving the message that preaching on these words, lose him and bring him, for the Lord hath need of him, referring a person of donkey. Sitting in that great congregation that day was a man called Frank Penfold, a man, if not an internationally known, as a jockey. As he sat there and listened, he said to himself, that man must have wonderful hands. If he could ride their back and control that ass, has never been broken, he's never had the yoke, and all the fields yelling around him, and he can control that ass, that man must have wonderful hands. And he said, if he can control an unbroken ass, he can control me. On their name that man healed his life, the Lord Jesus Christ, and that service that morning, he placed himself in the all-powerful hands of the Lord Jesus. France Temple became one of father-in-law of three outstanding British evangelists. One was Fred Elliott, well known across the North American continent in different parts of the world. That man said that day, if he can control that act, he can control me, and he give his life to Jesus Christ. That same Christ is here this morning. If you need us to give him your neighbor, will you hand the life over to him? Right now. What about this power over disease? There's no cure, no, no disease comes insurable for the Lord Jesus concerned. The blind he may deceive, the bad he may hear, the dumb he may talk. The lame he may to walk, crooked backs, and in straight. The leprosy, my friend, he may be flung. The man with the drop, he may be healed. No peace, calm and insurable, was quite a concern. And his cures were complete. Instantaneously, he was complete. What about his power over demonization? The demoniac, the Lord had come out of him. And he said, legions came out. And the very demon says to Christ, let us go into the swine. The demons can't act without his permission, his power over demons. His power over death. That over the only the deeds, that only over demons, but over dead cells. John is his daughter dead. He goes into hell. He takes it by the hand and says, little girly eyes in thee arise. She's brought that to the life. He said, give her to eat. He's only twelve. A young man, the only son of a widow. He encourages a place of burial. The Lord Jesus meets the pure procession. He goes up. You saw the widow there? He's had a compassion toward her. He touched the deer on the cough and said, young man, eyes of the arise. He sat up, and I love this about the Lord Jesus. The man began to speak for the Lord this Sunday. It reveals my soul. He delivered him to his mother. Isn't that just like the Lord Jesus? Oh, how compassionate, how sympathetic, how understanding is that adorable Lord. He gave him back to his mother. I love that, don't you? something so human about that, something so understanding about that. There's something more. And Lazarus, four days in the grave, and by this time he's thinking, what happens, the Lord goes along, says, Lazarus come forth. He had the dead king forth, found Hannah, took the grave clothes. The Lord said, loose him and let him go. She's own a little girl, age twelve. Just as is she, path of grief, but she lived life. Corruption not set in. Maybe some young person here this morning, and you live life. Maybe some young men, some young women, full-blooded, full of vitality, bigger, blue, birthing might, praying, with activity. A friend, you need Christ. You need life. You need all the physical I can give you, bound me with my friend. But you need spiritual. You may be an old man this morning. You may be an older woman. And corruption has said it. And corruption, my friend, has said it to see a Sam upon your cousin. And sin, my friend, in Rome. and wrought havoc in your life and it can be healing or pain. And you need life. You need life. Oh, little jelly, twelve, but you need life. A young man, but he needs life. An old man, but he needs life. As this morning written, saying, what in Jesus Christ? He spout over the dead. He spout over Jesus. is out of our day. This mighty, conquering, victorious Lord, is right here. The Lord. Right here is the very most. What do you think of him? I hurry. What do you think of his right here is day? His own day. His day is upon that very close. Now listen. He at whose boy's death reign? He's their champion. He's their victor. He's the Prince of Light. Death, no disease, nor demons, my friend, just stay in his presence. Let it go. He heard and he responded to the call of death that we might hear and respond to the call of life this morning. Death had no claim upon the Lord Jesus. Christ did not need to die. He did not sin on his own. But we need the God. And blessed be his name. He died for you. And he died for me. I thank him. Have you? Have you? If not, will you this morning. What do you think of his death? Why was the Lord Jesus there upon that cross? Why did he die? Why, my friend, with those nails placed through his lovely hands and feet, Thou is there a crowd that cruel conform. Thou is nobody veiled a rich, royal prey of blood. Why? There was none other good enough to pay the price of sin. He only could allot the gift heaven unless God looked round among the mankind. He could not find one without sin. No man can by any redeem his blood, nor give the God a ransom for his soul. God demanded his blood sacrifice. It was your sinless blood sacrifice. Now what do you think? What do you think, beloved this morning of the death of the Lord Jesus? What do you think of that precious blood? I remember the only time you ever read of the precious blood is in reverence the blood of Jesus Christ. You'll read the blood throughout the scripture. The only time you'll read the precious blood is his blood. And it's precious because the precious blood of the Son of God. Precious, precious blood of Jesus. Shed on Calvary. Shed for it. Oh, hallelujah. Shed for it. You too. Amen. Oh, friendless. See from his head. His hand is deep. Sorrow and love flow mingled down. And ere such love and sorrow meet, Our thorns come so through the crown, Where the whole realm of nature mine, that were nothing far too small, Love so amazing, so divine, the last. My heart, and I trust your heart, with mine said, shall have. My heart, my life, my only worthy, Oh, ten thousand times, ten thousand, ye alone is the word we want all the minutes. We thought a little of the physical suffering of the Lord Jesus. They were cute. They were intense. And my friend, all the physical suffering could never bring about the work of the atonement. In the hour of darkness, when he who knew no thing, They came sin for us. His whole being was that sought it out of recognition. Vizmar more than any man. His foremoon was unto me. I will hear the cry of piercing darkness. But remember, so awful was that sight. The sun refused to shine, while God, the incarnate maker died. For a man is quick to say. My God, my God, why has thou forsaken me? Now it is. And God cannot look upon sin. God cannot tolerate sin. And when the very darling of his own being. God as God, not as a father-in-son, God as God during his bag of fodder, really ought to cry, my God, my God, my God. Why? I've heard a statement made. Why does a father help me? That's the fault of my own being. Now listen. I said a million ago, he's dead champion. He said, Victor, now listen, as he was there upon that ruddy cross, his whole body veiled in blood. It's like, Father, forgive them the not what they do. Oh, dear Lord, have you not beat your heart? Have you not broken in your breast? Listen to that. He summons death to be his servant. God damn. He will, as he will to die, and when he will to die, man could not kill the Holy Son of God. Sidon was allowed to use man to put upon the Holy Son of God, for he could not kill him. So the way he refers the member to the dying see, he begs to be broke. The other, the begs he broke. When the King of Christ, the revival, why, he is dead already. He summons death to be his servant. And he died as he will to die, and when he will to die, and he died for you. And he died for me. Will you thank him this morning? What do you think of the day of the Lord Jesus? Can you truth be said, bearing shame and scotting rules, in my place condemned he stood, filled my heart with him. Hallelujah. What a Savior. Oh, what a fever. Thank God this morning that cross is empty. The tomb is a cave. And what do you think of his bodily resurrection from out among the dead? Not a mere phantom, not a mere spirit, but a bodily resurrection. He arose. Lord, on the grave you lay Jesus my Savior. Within the coming days, Jesus, my Lord, and up from the grave you rose, and the mighty Christ rose. Hallelujah, Christ arose. And this morning, for this delightful congregation, I don't present a code, not a creed, not a cabinet, not a church membership, not a sermon of Mars, not the Ten Commandments, not of the Golden Rule. I present a living Mars. One who became dead, who is alive forevermore. And he did all, all things, he told his Christ over day and day and half and Satan. And ready, you are very hard at your say, no. If I can be. Oh, won't you trust this one this morning? Would you always have lost his favor today? That's because I'm not sure because what do you think of it coming again? He's gone away, but not to say. He's coming back again. And it may be this very morning the listening sky is now down. We'll hear the bridegroom's voice saying, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away far above the clouds. Oh, that is the wonderful. Surely your heart was my heart, George, born in Christ. Even so come, Lord Jesus. Even so come today. Even so come, Lord Jesus, catch up thy bride away. Oh, my heart is yearning. Loving for thy returning. Even so come, Lord, he does. Even so come today. Friend, he's gone. But he's coming back. And by his Spirit is right. His morning is nearer to you than your neighbor. And asking you that question. What do you think of Christ? And you must answer that question. And your destiny depends upon your answer to that one question. Will you do it? Him number three hundred and twelve. Both thinking of Christ, to many of us, is a very life of a life. Exactly everything to us within us can be compared. Our heart says, Lord, thou art worthy. Three hundred and twelve thoughtfully, prayerfully, just sing this hymn of majesty and real challenge. Jesus, our Lord, The joy we adore. Is that the language of your heart this morning? Did you mean that? God bless you. Three hundred and twelve. Jesus our Lord, with what joy we adore him. Spending our gracious life still on the throne. Blessing thy presence, we worship him holy. Though thou art worthy and worthy I love nothing, Lord thou art worthy, Lord thou art worthy, and worthy later, to the rest in thy prison we worship before him, whom not worthy and worthy. Verily go, if he come through these buildings, Thank you. God is Now that it is humble thyself to be taken, made by thy creatures and nails of the cross, he is of name, and of God, who, O Satan, shunning not darkness, the curse and the law, all for you and all for me. Will you thank him this morning, under your Lord and Savior? There's no end to pressing, there's no button holding in these meetings, but your concern this morning and three will go away. For the other two, you come forward with the Father here, and the Lord, he will not be happy to touch you. I meet some of our brethren here in the vestry with only two pettiters out of you. Be yourself for Christ's sake. Please don't call your concern. If you're in a vetsome condition, please come back in this morning. Don't you think it is worthy? You want to bring Lord Supreme your heart. Mrs. Nazareth, be a mark of your whole-hearted dedication. She sang among the Lord, a bride-need, a staff right here. God bless you. If you sing the last verse, now you're doing so well in that chorus, see, so softly verse five, a little louder, now a little louder, shall write out and bless. In his prayer the last verse, now, O how hast thou triumph? Thank you. How hast thou triumph and triumph with glory? Then, through death, through death, Can you pray? Can we refrain? Can we refrain from telling the story? Lord, do I speak? of heaven. Lord, thou art worthy, Lord thou art worthy, Lord thou art worthy, he alone. The blessed night rest which was shed before me. Oh, now what were you? And what were you? And what were you? The ones who were left off this morning on seeing what say you cried, This morning, what inch you cried. In the night, what say you cried. Be much in prayer. New local friends, on the phone. Tell others about the meeting. Come back to yourself. You are the best being to be very different, you know. You have been blessed by the ministry. Tell others of it. And bring them along. Will you? Shall we pray? Not unto us. Not unto us. But under our name the honor and glory and power and blessing. Both now and forevermore. forgivus Christ the wonderful Lord. Amen.
